CORSA DELL'ARNO IN FLORENCE: HORSES, GLAMOUR AND SOLIDARITY

The Corsa dell'Arno is not only the oldest horse race in Italy, but also an event that combines sport, glamour and solidarity. Among the various side events that will accompany tomorrow afternoon at the Visarno, it is worth mentioning the tenth edition of ‘Il cappello più bello per Corri La Vita’ (The most beautiful hat for Corri La Vita) a mini glamour contest to be held on the terrace of the racecourse, which will see all the ladies who wish to participate parade in hats, either made by themselves or purchased from one of the stands of the artisans present at the racecourse.
However, the aim is solidarity, as the small entry fee for the competition will go towards funding Corri La Vita Onlus, a charity that supports women affected by breast cancer who are facing a race to recovery, rehabilitation and psychological support. The event was organised by the Visarno racecourse and the Consorzio il Cappello di Firenze. As the president of Corri La Vita Onlus said, ‘It will be a special opportunity to combine creativity and elegance with solidarity’... and the beautiful world of horses, we might add!
