ETRURIA MALES GRAND PRIX: THE QUALITY OF GALILEO FERM

There were 10 at the start, but only three reached the finish line in the male session of the Gran Premio Duomo. There were many, too many mistakes on the track, but also the indisputable quality of Galileo Ferm who was returning after a three-month absence, but who was nevertheless presented in good order by the Divignano team currently headed by Marco Azzaroni. Maharajah's son, owned by Francesco Graziano Biasia, had already distinguished himself with second place in the Criterium for two-year-olds in Rome and in the Anact Grand Prix, and on his reappearance he confirmed his great consistency. In Florence he was able to emerge unscathed from the melee of falls that involved many of his rivals and then found himself in the lead with at least twenty metres of margin that he managed right up to the finish post to close with his second career victory (five second places) in seven races run. In second place was Ghibli Lux, in third Godwin Cr.
