Despite the competition from the great Scandinavian classics that will begin in the next few days with the Seinajoki Race in Finland, the 76th edition of the Agnano Lotteria Grand Prix will not be autarchic, at least according to information coming from abroad. From France, in particular, at least a couple of interesting subjects seem destined to move, such as Hooker Berry and Ideal Ligneries, and they may not be the only ones. There is also Ideal San Leandro that Richard Westerink should divert to Agnano, while it seems that Etonnant, which has also received an invitation, will probably be diverted to Sweden.
However, whoever arrives from abroad will have to deal with a very aggressive patrol of locals. According to the official website of the event www.granpremiolotteria.it, the starting point is Vernissage Grif, which the Gocciadoro team hopes to have in further progress after the test on the French Riviera, but in particular from Noceto a total of eight or nine horses could arrive, a record number for a single trainer. In addition to Varenne's son, there are Always Ek and Dany Capar, who already have a pass for 4 May, and today at the Agnano centre Bengurion Jet is returning, another good candidate who, among other things, has already distinguished himself in the past in races with the double-race formula, such as the Palio dei Comuni di Montegiorgio and the Sweden Cup in Stockholm.
There are Banderas Bi and Diamond Truppo from the Sicilian team Pachino (Regina) Horse, the five-year-olds Executiv Ek and Expo Wise As, in short, a fine group of horses.
There is one last Wild Card to be awarded and it will be given to the winner of the Campili Prize on Easter Monday, on that occasion Alrajah One will be returning to Agnano.  Dimitri Ferm should also arrive from Divignano and, probably, if the latest tests are encouraging, so will the winner of the last edition, Capital Mail. Other Wild Cards already assigned are those of Callisto and Chance Ek and then there is Ampia Mede Sm who (like Vernissage Grif) is waiting for the Lotteria to bid farewell to a brilliant career. Bleff Dipa should be the top name of Holger Ehlert's team.
On Saturday 19th in Enghien, just outside Paris, the Prix de l'Atlantique will be held and it is not impossible that interesting confirmations could arrive on that occasion.
