GP PARIOLI AND REGINA ELENA: ENTRIES OPEN AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR FOREIGN OPERATORS

28/03/2025

Entries are now being accepted for the Gran Premi Parioli and Regina Elena scheduled for Sunday 27th April: the two great, historic races for three-year-olds (divided into males and females) over a mile identified as the ‘Italian Guineas’.

This year the prize money for the two races has been increased from 154 to 165 thousand euros. To this end, the International Racing Bureau (represented in Italy by Ms Franca Vittadini) has sent foreign operators an email with the conditions for entering the races, which expires on 7 April. The registration fee will be 750 euros. After the natural deadline for registration, it will be possible to register up until 24 April at a cost of 15 thousand euros. There will be incentives for travel expenses for horses arriving from abroad.

Elio Pautasso, General Manager of Hippogroup Capannelle, said: ‘These are two extremely important races, not only for us, but for the entire Italian gallop movement, and it is clear that our efforts are aimed at the best possible success on a technical level and perhaps at recovering some international rating points.’
