He had been fourth last 8th December in the 2024 edition of the Premio Duomo. A few months later, Dany Capar took his revenge in style, dominating the 2025 edition from start to finish with an interesting average of 1.10.6, one tenth of a second behind the race record set by Urlo dei Venti in 2018.

Alessandro Gocciadoro, fresh from his double win with Vivid Wise As, has thus achieved his sixth victory in the Florentine classic, this time with Leonardo Cecchi's colours. The gelding from Exploit Caf shot into the lead, holding off the French Ideal San Leandro with Bjorn Goop who had to adapt to the outside because in the meantime Pietro Gubellini had been very quick to gain the leader's back with Chance Ek. As in last December, Ideal San Leandro was nevertheless a protagonist of the race because by staying on the outside he made it difficult for those who tried to make a comeback on the outside, first Always Ek and then Bleff Dipa who had to give up. In the final Dany Capar pulled away. Chance Ek tried to move to the outside, but in doing so opened a gap that Callisto slipped through. With a very strong finish he won a very honourable second place and with it the Wild Card for participation in the next Lottery Grand Prix of Agnano that went to the top three finishers.
