THE 2025 EDITION OF THE GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR STARTS TODAY, ITALIAN LEG IN OCTOBER AT THE CIRCUS MAXIMUM

The 2025 edition of the Global Champions Tour, the Show Jumping Circuit that brings together many of the world's strongest pairs, starts today, 27 February, from Doha, Qatar. There will be 14 stages along which horses and riders will race. Middle East, Far East, North and Central America, Europe, before reaching the final from 30 October to 1 November in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and then the Play-offs in the Czech Republic from 20 to 23 November.

One of this year's main novelties concerns the stage scheduled in Rome, as is tradition in the wonderful scenario of the Circus Maximus arena. It will be the last of the 14 stages of the ‘regular season’ and will no longer be held in September, but from 10 to 12 October, the day on which the Trotting Derby at Capannelle will also be scheduled. Masaf will also be present at the event to support Italian saddle horse breeding.

An edition with many records including that of the number of participating teams, no less than 17, and the number of Italian riders competing, namely no less than six: Emanuele Camilli with Riesenbeck International, Emanuele Gaudiano with Rome Gladiators, Guido Grimaldi and Clara Pezzoli with Paris Panthers, Giacomo Casadei with Doha Falcons, and Lorenzo de Luca with Valkenswaard United.
