PUBLIC TRIAL FOR ALRAJAH ONE AND CAPITAL MAIL WITH VIEW ON COSTA AZZURRA AND LOTTERIA

In the late afternoon, two of our top free-for-all , Alrajah One and Capital Mail, performed on the track in Turin for a public test. Working for the Divignano team, the two seniors were driven by Marco Stefani and Andrea Guzzinati respectively. A mile raced well. At the start Alrajah One took the advantage, racing the first quarter in 28.7, the 800 in 58.7 to reach the mile in 1.12.5. He then accelerated for the second half of the race with the final 800 turning in 56.2 (42 for the last 600 metres.) Capital Mail kept his distance by about a length and a half until the last bend when he sprinted to catch his training partner narrowly ahead of him and finish with a time of 1.11.8 per km for both. All in all a flattering performance for the two protagonists. Alrajah appeared more fluid in the action even though in the last 100 metres he was probably even a little slowed down by his performer in order to arrive at the finish line simultaneously. Capital Mail's trot was a little more cumbersome, especially in the first part of the race, but in the end extremely profitable. For both now the prospect of participation in the next Lotteria on Sunday 4 May (Capital Mail is, among other things, the title holder) seems to be becoming more concrete, perhaps passing through the other major appointment of the Italian spring for the first series of continental trotting: the Grand Prix Costa Azzurra in Turin.
