FAVORABLE ASSESSMENT OF THE SENATE COMMISSION FOR PROVISIONS ON THE REFORM OF HORSE RACING TO BE INSERTED IN THE NEXT BUDGETARY LAW

In recent days, the 9th Senate Commission gave its favourable assessment to the Public Finance Document (Dfp 2025), which includes measures linked to the budgetary manoeuvre aimed at strengthening the agriculture, fishing and forestry sectors and, above all, ‘provisions on the reform of the horse racing sector’. This document (known as the Dfp), which was approved by the Council of Ministers last April, stated that the government, in completing the next budgetary manoeuvre, would include among the related measures the so-called ‘Provisions on the reform of the horse racing sector’. This means, as we have also learned informally from sources close to Masaf, that work on the reform of the horse racing sector is proceeding quietly but according to the pre-established schedule.
