THE UAE PRESIDENT CUP IN ROME WITH A RECORD PRIZE MONEY SUPPOSED TO REACH 300.000€

The Italian leg of the UAE President Cup is back for the eighth time and at a new location: for the first time the
prestigious international circuit reserved for Arabian thoroughbreds, created in 1994, will be held in
Rome. The date is Sunday 18th May and it will be particularly significant because the race is supposed to have a
record prize fund of 300,000 euros thanks above all to the substantial financial contribution of the United Arab Emirates
strongly supported by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the City Football Group as the majority shareholder of
Manchester City in Great Britain, Palermo in Italy and other football teams.

A month and a half before the important event, on Friday 4 April Faisal Al Rahmani,
president of IFAHR (International Federation of Arabian Horseracing), and Mattia Cadrobbi, councillor
of ANICA (Italian National Arabian Horse Association) with responsibility for horse racing and member of the IFAHR Board,
carried out an inspection at Capannelle, in order to coordinate with the staff of the
Roman racecourse the collateral initiatives in support of the event. With reference to the recent
assessment by MASAF (Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry) on the
central role of the Roman facility in national horse racing, the official name of the race will be UAE
PRESIDENT CUP 2025 - Ippodromo Capitale d'Italia - Roma Capannelle: a further and significant agreement
between the two countries, after the important economic agreements signed by Italy and the United Arab Emirates last February.

The high prize money of this Group 2 over 2000 metres, with entries closing on Thursday 8
May, will obviously attract the participation of distinguished foreign jockeys, for whom organisational
organisational support. They will be up against the best Italian horses: among these
certainly Altajani Vdc, fourth in the 2024 edition and then winner of the IFAHR Trophy (group 2) in Livorno,
and the younger Fiore di Loto, both of whom have been the subject of sales negotiations in recent months that have not materialised.
Dubainulese, third in 2024, was sold to Libya.

The 2025 calendar of the UAE President Cup includes 17 races: the Italian one will be the fifth stage,
after Tunisia (20 April), Morocco (26 April), France (11 May) and the United States (17 May). The following ones will be
will be held in Sweden (6 June), Germany (6 July), Holland (3 August), Spain (15 August), Russia (30
August), Belgium (2 September), Turkey (7 September), Great Britain (13 September), Poland (28 September),
Egypt (25 October), Libya (31 October) and South Africa (21 November).
