MEETING ABOUT WINE AND HORSES AT VINITALY IN VERONA

If one of the objectives of MASAF and the General Management for horse racing is to promote local food and wine at major horse racing events, combining wine and its history as a product of Italian excellence and a 360° experience, which also represents glamour and culture, it should come as no surprise that today at 2. 30 p.m. in Verona as part of Vinitaly, in the MASAF Pavilion, an interesting seminar will be held on the subject, with the participation of representatives of companies engaged in this dual track who will talk about their experience in the combination of wine and horses. The introduction will be given by the General Manager of the General Directorate for Horse Racing, Remo Chiodi
The seminar was created with the aim of promoting two pillars of Italian agricultural and cultural tradition: viticulture and the breeding of racehorses and other horses. Distinct sectors but deeply linked by a common agricultural vocation; to excellence, care for the land and respect for tradition. Italy has always been a land of great wines and extraordinary horses. This meeting, promoted by the General Directorate for Horse Racing of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, within the prestigious setting of Vinitaly, will give voice to entrepreneurs and protagonists who embody both of these worlds: wine producers who are also horse breeders, custodians of a dual heritage that speaks of passion, tradition and innovation. Through their experiences and testimonies, the deep bond that unites cultivated land with the rhythms of agriculture, paddocks, stables and race tracks will be explored. An opportunity to reflect on the integrated value of the agri-food and livestock supply chains and on the opportunities that arise from a synergistic and sustainable approach. Wine routes have existed for some time within the ‘open wineries’ project and never before in history have we talked about horse riding trails and trips on horseback, in a context of slow and sustainable mobility.
