VICTORY OF DESTINY DI POGGIO AND FOUR SECOND PLACES FOR THE ITALIAN HORSES ABROAD

Definitely a positive balance for the Italian patrol on the European racecourses. At Vincennes there was the success of Destiny di Poggio (Jean Michel Bazire in the sulky), registered in the German Stud Book, but owned (among others) by the Italian stable Mistero in the Prix de Gabarret (53 thousand euros in prize money). In the same race Dada del Ronco, racing for the Munacone stable and trained by Minopoli, came third.

In the opening race First Tome Roc (Sant'Eusebio stable) came a good second, beaten only by Lord du Bassin. Finlandia Tor also achieved an important third place among the four-year-olds in the Prix de Meaux

It should be noted that in the most important race of the day, the Prix du Bois de Vincennes (gr. 3), Inexess Blue (Alexandre Abrivard) achieved his sixth consecutive victory. He had already been an excellent performer in the winter meeting.

In Sweden he lacked the winning touch, but there were three second places: Dilva Jet and Coktail Bar (Magnus Djuse for Alessandro Gocciadoro), Dj Spritz (Gustav Johansson for Jerry Riordan).
